PUBLISHING GUIDES
Give your AI-made website a home.
An AI can produce the files. Hobing turns supported static files into a public link you can open outside the conversation.
Start with browser-ready files
Ask your AI for a static website with a root index.html and all required CSS, JavaScript and assets. A single self-contained HTML file is useful for a small demo; a folder is better when the project has separate images and pages.
Framework projects need a static build first. Upload the build output produced by the project, not its package dependencies. A site that requires a server, database or private API key cannot run entirely on static hosting.
When your agent can send HTTP requests
- Use Copy prompt for your agent on the homepage and paste it into the conversation that contains your project.
- Choose account publishing or anonymous publishing. Account mode lets the agent use your current Free or Pro benefits after you approve access; anonymous mode creates a temporary link.
- For account access, open the authorization link provided by the agent, check its pairing code and approve the request yourself.
- The agent uploads the files and returns the URL from the successful response. Open it to verify the page and assets.
The agent skill and API reference describe the actual requests. No hobing CLI or MCP installation is required. Tool availability depends on the AI product, selected mode and environment, not just the model name.
When your AI cannot upload
A web chat may be able to search the internet and write code without being able to send the HTTP upload request. If it gives you instructions instead of executing them, the site has not been published yet.
Ask for an HTML file or ZIP, download it and upload it through hobing. If the AI can only return text, save the HTML code as index.html. Follow the HTML upload guide for file structure and testing. You can still choose account or anonymous publishing yourself.
“Give me a browser-ready static website with index.html and all its assets. If you cannot upload it, provide the files so I can publish them myself.”
Know what counts as a successful publish
A code block, terminal command or AI preview is not proof of publication. A successful API response includes the real site URL. Check that it opens and displays your project. The agent should also report the expiry time or always-online status.
If authorization, retrieval or uploading fails, keep the exact error message. Do not give the agent your password, paste secret keys into the site or change networks to get around quota limits. Use Feedback if the hosting service returns an unexpected error.
Keep working after the first link
With an account, manage sites from Dashboard or an authorized agent. You can update the full file bundle, download saved files or take a site offline. Free includes one always-online slot; Pro adds capacity and a custom hobing.link prefix. Compare Free and Pro.
Anonymous links normally expire after 24 hours. A temporary public preview is useful for reviews, but it should not be treated as permanent hosting. Hosted user sites currently request no search indexing.
